Political Vision

His Vision for Nepal

Five core values and four strategic development priorities defining Krishna Thapa's commitment to a prosperous, just, and self-reliant Nepal.

Core Values

What He Stands For

⚖️
Integrity-Based Politics
Zero tolerance toward corruption, political violence, and misuse of public resources. Every decision guided by ethical principles and public interest — not personal gain.
👁️
Accountability to Citizens
Transparency, public reporting, and citizen oversight at every level. Leaders must be answerable to the people — not to party hierarchies or donor agencies.
📊
Evidence-Based Governance
Data-driven planning, monitoring, and performance evaluation in all public affairs. His 25 years of M&E expertise directly informs this commitment.
🗳️
Democratic Values
Active participant in Nepal's People's Movements for Restoration of Democracy (2047 & 2063). Democracy is a daily practice — not just a system.
🏛️
Institutional Reform
Long-term commitment to strengthening Nepal's democratic institutions over personality-driven politics. Real change comes from systems that outlast individuals.
Development Agenda

Four Priorities for Nepal's Future

PRIORITY 01
🌾
Agriculture-Led Prosperity
Focus on agriculture-based enterprises involving cooperatives, private sector, and youth-led ventures. Promoting inclusive value chain approach with strategic investment for agricultural exports. Nepal's agriculture must graduate from subsistence to market-linked enterprise-driven growth.
PRIORITY 02
Energy & Infrastructure
Positioning Nepal as a regional energy hub with clean energy generation and cross-border transmission for export. Developing an international airport with hydrogen energy fueling capabilities. Nepal's water resources are its greatest untapped asset.
PRIORITY 03
🏔️
Sustainable Tourism
Integrating tourism with local agriculture, culture, and enterprises to ensure environmental sustainability and meaningful rural income. Tourism must benefit communities where it operates — not only Kathmandu-based operators.
PRIORITY 04
🏛️
Good Governance Reform
Introducing results-based governance and performance-based public sector management. Every ministry and local government unit must operate with clear targets, measurable outcomes, and transparent public reporting.
